Published on: 22. January 2016

In Rwanda an estimated 250,000 households will soon have access to electricity thanks to a deal between the government and Ignite Power Ltd. The agreement has Ignite Power Ltd investing over USD50M in an off-grid power solution over the next five years.

The deal provides a framework for large-scale deployment of solar electric systems across rural communities in Rwanda. It also allows beneficiaries a two-year grace period to pay for the acquired solar systems.
